THE BELLA BASH IS THIS THURSDAY!

Performers include multi-platinum Grammy winning artist Amy Grant, Grammy winning artist Bob Carlisle, multi-Dove Award winning southern gospel group, The Martins, nationally known comedy legend Gary Mule Deer, and event founder, songwriter/artist/author Regie Hamm.

The yearly event benefits The Angel Wings Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by Regie Hamm in order to provide resources and assistance for families struggling with Angelman Syndrome and other rare mental disabilities.

(Nashville, Tennessee) -August 18, 2011 -Award-winning Nashville singer/songwriter/producer Regie Hamm has a dream. A dream of a world where special needs children and the families that love them have an "Angel Center" in Middle Tennessee where comprehensive therapy, diagnosis, and support is available for those children most profoundly challenged with mental disabilities.

To help turn that dream into reality, on Thursday, October 20th, a stellar list of Regie Hamm's celebrity friends will join forces for Nashville's 4th Annual Bella Bash.

Artists set to perform include multi-platinum artist Grammy and Dove Award winner Amy Grant, Grammy Award winning Christian recording artist Bob Carlisle ("Butterfly Kisses") multi-Dove Award winning top southern gospel group, The Martins, and legendary nationally-known comedian Gary Mule Deer. Tim Akers & The Smoking Section will perform live and provide back-up for the evening's event being held at the Loveless Barn on Highway 100.

Celebrity red carpet is scheduled for 6:30 P.M with doors at 7:00 P.M.

The story behind the "Bella Bash" is a very personal one. In 2003, Regie Hamm and his wife Yolanda flew to China to adopt their first child, Isabella Xin Meng Hamm. Unknown to them at the time, baby "Bella" suffered from a rare genetic disorder, Angelman Syndrome--a neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in approximately 1 in 15,000 live births and is often mis-diagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism. Characteristics of AS include: developmental delays, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders. "Angels" are missing a tiny piece of maternal chromosome that renders them in need of constant care throughout life.

In honor of Bella, the "Bella Bash" was established in 2008 as a evening of music dedicated to raising much needed funds and awareness of Angelman Syndrome and the myriad of rare mental disorders still in the shadows and often mis-diagnosed.

As a further step in his personal quest to raise national awareness of AS, Hamm, a multi-Grammy nominee and four time SESAC "Songrwiter of the Year," founded the The Angel Wings Foundation in 2010. The vision is to not only assist in providing diagnoses for those suffering from rare mental disabilities, but to be a complete resource for the families, providing physical, speech/communication and occupational therapies, nutritional, emotional, and logistical 'real world' support for those facing the challenge and their caregivers. Registered as a 501(c)(3) non profit, The Angel Wings Foundation is dedicated to a quality of life and care for a segment of children too often under-served.

The long-term goal of the newly formed Angel Wings Foundation is to ultimately establish an "Angel Center" here in Middle Tennessee. Partnering with Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, plans are currently on the drawing board for a center that would offer a full array of medical services and comprehensive therapy for children and adults battling the most severe forms of mental disabilities. It would be the first center of its kind in the U.S.

Proceeds of this year's "Bella Bash" will be earmarked specifically towards the production and distribution of an Angelman Syndrome educational DVD targeted to reach every pediatrician's office in the U.S.

Notes Hamm: "I meet Angelman families all over the country whose story is similar to that of our family's. We went through several years without a definitive diagnosis for Bella. The goal of the foundation and my work personally through the "Bella Bash" is to raise funds that will allow us to increase awareness and help the quality of life for these amazing families and their children."

Tickets go on sale -- Friday August 19th ---with general admission scaled at $50.00 in advance. VIP ticket packages with a fully loaded celebrity gift bag are $75.00.

Tickets can be ordered online now through October 19th at www.bellabash.org. The event is expected to be a repeat of last year's sell-out, so early ticketing is encouraged.

Many Angelman families will be traveling to Nashville to attend the event, and special room rates have been negotiated for these families.

Regie Hamm's life story is a tale of falls and redemption that is scarcely believable, and combined with his award-winning songwriting, it makes for fantastic music. In less than a decade, the young artist went from the top of the songwriting community and a fairy-tale personal life to being driven to the very brink of financial and psychological ruin. Having penned over 20 number one hits and feeling at the top of his game, Regie and his wife took a step toward becoming a family by adopting a baby girl from China. The girl, however, required substantial medical attention due to a rare, mysterious disability that soon drained the couple's fortune and dashed any hopes of a regular life. Just at the point when Regiewas ready to give up everything, he felt inspired to write just one more song. Regie Hamm was honored Thursday night at the SESAC Christian Music Awards, held at the Hutton Hotel in Nashville. Regie co-wrote the #1 hit "The Night Before Christmas" recorded by Brandon Heath. Additional songwriters honored for their work include Jason Ingram, Cary Barlowe (also known for performing with local rock groups Luna Halo and the Honeymoon Thrillers), Ian Eskelin, Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North, and Tiffany Arbuckle Lee.

Tim Fink and John Mullins of SESAC hosted the awards dinner, which recognized the 2010 top-played Christian songs penned by SESAC songwriters and their publishers.

SESAC, Inc. is a performing rights organization with headquarters in Nashville and offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami and London.

In his introduction, Angel Wings Foundation founder Regie Hamm announced an exciting new joint initiative with Vanderbilt's Kennedy Center to establish the Angel Center, a Middle Tennessee facility for comprehensive therapy, diagnosis, and support for children battling profoundly challenging mental and/or genetic disabilities.

Hit-songwriter and author Regie Hamm assembled a stellar list of celebrity friends for Thursday night's Bella Bash, including Delilah, the most listened to female voice in radio history, American Idol favorites Melinda Doolittle and Danny Gokey, multi-Grammy winning Christian artist, Russ Taff, nationally renowned comedian, Henry Cho, hit Nashville songwriter Bruce Carroll and an all-star Nashville house-band Tim Akers & the Smoking Section. The event included red carpet photo opportunities and a special celebrity meet-and-greet for the Angelman families in a special room staffed by therapists from Vanderbilt University's Kennedy Center. As the founder of the event Hamm said he wanted the evening to be a time to celebrate life and to give love to "the least of these." With the help of Hamm's all-star cast of friends, the Bella Bash succeeded beyond a shadow of a doubt.

May 12, 2009 New York, NY - Multi-talented songwriter Regie Hamm arrived in New York on Tuesday afternoon to attend SESAC's 13th Annual NY Music Awards, on the heels of the success of his latest solo-written No. 1 smash, "Time Of My Life," recorded by American Idol's David Cook. Regie performed his original version of the song to the industry crowd of more than 300 and took home one of the night's top honors by receiving the SESAC Song Of The Year award. The song, which Hamm has emotionally described as "autobiographical" spent an amazing 16 weeks at No. 1 on the AC charts for David Cook. According to Billboard, this song is one of the longest running No. 1's by a solo male artist in AC chart history. Not to mention, the track is also one of the longest running chart toppers by a Nashville songwriter. The circle of success after years of heart-breaking love caring for Special-needs adopted daughter, is something very special

NASHVILLE TENNESSEE, September 16, 2008 - With over 20 #1 hits already to his credit, songwriter Regie Hamm chalked up his biggest hit this week, as his American Idol-winning song, "The Time of My Life" (recorded by last season's A.I. winner, David Cook), jumped to the #1 spot across the board on the AC charts.

The song has also become synonymous with the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was featured as the closing number on NBC's international coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, last week, a performance of the song was featured on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" in a tribute to the 2008 American Beijing athletes.

But for five years prior to this American Idol win and rejuvenated bounty, Hamm's family was in chaos, turmoil and financial ruin after a meteoric songwriting rise, a successful pop CD release and a single that was #15 with a bullet on the charts...and climbing.

A multiple SESAC Songwriter of the Year in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2000, Hamm and his wife were a "jet-setting, highly paid, well-groomed couple who understood success and how to achieve it," reflects Hamm. Upon learning that they could not have children of their own, they went to China and adopted a baby girl.

From that moment on, Regie was "Isabella's daddy. Everything else was a footnote." He was poised to hit the road, promoting his CD after that China trip; but adopting Isabella began a harrowing 5-years' long labor of love, raising a child with an undiagnosed, rare genetic disorder, now called Angelman Syndrome.

"I lost my record deal, we sold our house, and no one was interested in signing me, recording my songs or having me produce anything," Hamm recounts. "My wife, who at one time had been an executive with an expense account, took a job at a call center to provide insurance for the family."

In March of this year, "with no publishing deal, no record deal and no career left to speak of, my wife, Yolanda urged me to write a finale song for American Idol. With nothing to lose, I came up with the line "'...taste every moment and live it out loud.'" And now with that phrase on the tips of the tongue of millions of fans around the world, Regie Hamm has gained perspective after nearly losing everything.

"You can't see the circle while you're making it. Only special moments can allow you to see all of it...China...babies...songs...music... dreams...success...happiness. They all mean different things to me now. Any plan I could've developed would never have been as beautiful and unexpected. This one was divine."

"The Time of My Life" debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart and is closing fast on the magical 1 million-download mark on iTunes. It is currently #1 on Billboard's AC chart.
